Core scanning, on-device OCR, document search, export, and local PDF tools can work without DocSnap AI network processing. DocSnap AI requires an internet connection.

Does DocSnap upload my scans?

No. Original page images and PDF files are not uploaded for DocSnap AI. If you deliberately use an AI feature, the recognized text needed for that operation is securely transmitted for processing.

What is OCR?

Optical character recognition turns words in a photographed page into searchable, selectable text. DocSnap performs OCR on your iPhone with Apple Vision.

Can DocSnap scan multiple pages?

Yes. Capture several pages into one document, reorder them, and export them together as a PDF.

Can I sign and protect PDFs?

Yes. DocSnap supports handwritten signature placement and PDF password protection as local PDF tools.
