Practical AI after OCR
Document AI is most useful when it starts from a readable text representation. DocSnap first scans and recognizes the document on your iPhone. You can then choose a focused operation: summarize it, ask a question, extract a set of fields, translate recognized text, classify it, or suggest a clearer name.
The AI does not replace the source. Answers and summaries may be incomplete or wrong, so important claims, totals, dates, and obligations must be checked against the original page.

What crosses the network
DocSnap AI is optional and requires internet. When you invoke it, the OCR-derived text needed for that request is securely transmitted for processing. Your original scan images and original PDF are not uploaded for DocSnap AI.
Smart Rename does not consume AI quota. Subscriptions include 120 substantive AI operations per month; Lifetime includes 30 per month while the service is offered. Local scanning, OCR, and PDF tools do not use that cloud allowance.
