Getting in touch

Common questions

The camera does not open

DocSnap asks for camera access the first time you tap Scan. If you declined, turn it on in iOS Settings › DocSnap › Camera, then tap Scan again.

Text recognition found nothing

Recognition works best on flat, evenly lit pages. Try re-scanning with more light, or apply the Auto filter before saving. Handwriting is not reliably recognised.

I have used my free text recognition for this month

The free tier includes text recognition for five documents each calendar month. The allowance resets at the start of the next month. Re-reading text that was already recognised never uses another one. DocSnap Pro removes the limit.

My PDF did not get smaller after compressing

Compression re-encodes the images on each page. A PDF that is mostly text has little image data to compress, so it may barely shrink.

How do I cancel a subscription?

iOS Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

I bought Pro but it is not showing

Open Settings inside DocSnap and tap Restore Purchases, using the same Apple Account you bought with.

Where are my documents stored?

In DocSnap's private storage on your iPhone. They are included in an iPhone backup. Deleting the app deletes them, so export anything you want to keep first.

Can I get my documents onto my computer?

Open a document, tap Share, then choose Save to Files, AirDrop, or any other destination in the share sheet.
