Camera does not open
Open iOS Settings, find DocSnap, and confirm Camera access is enabled. Return to DocSnap and try Scan again. If the camera works in Apple's Camera app but not DocSnap, restart the app and note the iPhone model and iOS version before reporting it.
OCR does not recognize the text
Use even light, keep the page flat, avoid motion blur, and choose a filter that does not erase faint characters. OCR is intended for printed text; handwriting should not be assumed reliable.
Compare important names, totals, and identifiers with the original scan. OCR runs on-device and does not switch to a cloud recognizer when a page is difficult.
PDF will not export
Check that the destination app or Files location is available and that the iPhone has free storage. Try exporting a smaller document or a different format to identify whether the issue is the source document, destination, or file size.
Restore Purchases
Open Settings inside DocSnap and choose Restore Purchases while signed into the same Apple Account used for the purchase. App Store billing and refunds are handled by Apple.
DocSnap AI requires internet
Scanning, on-device OCR, local search, PDF creation, and local PDF tools can work without DocSnap AI network processing. Summary, Ask Document, extraction, translation, and other DocSnap AI operations require a connection.
AI allowance
Subscriptions include 120 substantive AI operations per month. Lifetime includes 30 per month while the AI service is offered. Smart Rename does not consume the quota. Running out of AI operations does not disable local scanning, OCR, or PDF tools.
Privacy questions
Original scan images and original PDFs are not uploaded for DocSnap AI. Recognized OCR-derived text required for the selected operation is transmitted only when you deliberately invoke AI. Read the canonical Privacy Policy for the complete current statement.
Contact and bug reports
Use the existing DocSnap support issue tracker. Include the iPhone model, iOS version, DocSnap version, what you expected, and the exact sequence that produced the problem. Do not attach confidential documents to a public issue.
